Segments of real-life journeys can be documented in many ways. This collection of correspondences spans more than a decade of "one-way life sharing" between two New Yorkers, a granddaughter, and her granny. After Granny's death, the correspondences she saved over the years were "returned to sender". PO Box 1093 is a time-stamped document of a woman's journey through graduate training, marriage, early career in a nontraditional discipline, and early motherhood. This journey is captured in letters, postcards, and notes sent from a woman born in 1963 to her special granny born in 1912. Anyone who has or had a special grandparent, and those that did not and wished they did, will enjoy a peek into life's joys and struggles as they are shared through a Long Island, New York, post office box.
