Focusing on social justice, Dannyboy Pieterse works as a change agent for the Khoisan communities in South Africa. Since 2013, he has advocated for Khoisan soldiers' recognition and integration into the South African National Defence Force, culminating in a 2018 bill submission. His research highlights the overlooked contributions of Khoisan soldiers during colonialism and their exclusion post-1994. Additionally, he launched a website to educate the public about the heroes and heroines of South Africa's liberation struggle.
