En savoir plus sur le livre

This volume features the top papers from the 12th East-European Conference on Advances in Databases and Information Systems (ADBIS 2008), held from September 5–9, 2008, in Pori, Finland. ADBIS is the successor to annual international workshops organized in Russia by the Moscow ACM SIGMOD Chapter from 1993 to 1996. The conference series has a rich history, having taken place in various locations including St. Petersburg, Poznan, Maribor, Prague, Vilnius, Bratislava, Dresden, Budapest, Tallinn, Thessaloniki, and Varna. The event is overseen by an international Steering Committee chaired by Professor Leonid Kalinichenko and has established a strong reputation as a premier scientific gathering showcasing research in databases and information systems. ADBIS 2008 aimed to facilitate knowledge transfer from experienced researchers to young scholars at pre- or post-doctoral levels and foster collaboration between European research communities, particularly from Central and Eastern Europe, and the global research landscape. The conference promotes networking among participants, especially those from Member States and Associated States, encouraging collaboration among researchers active outside their home countries.
