It's A Passion!

Die Porzellane aus der Sammlung Ludwig

En savoir plus sur le livre

The LUDWIGGALERIE Schloss Oberhausen is celebrating its 25th year and is presenting one of the patrons’ specialized collections to mark the occasion. For the first time, an extensive selection of Peter and Irene Ludwig’s exquisite and unique porcelain collection will be on display in Oberhausen. Over several decades, the Aachen-based art collectors assembled a collection of the finest Meissen porcelain and took particular joy in depicting a range of occupations. Today, this “white gold” is kept in Bamberg. As well as paying tribute to Peter and Irene Ludwig, the publication also includes a look back over the last 25 years. Over that time, numerous exhibitions were held featuring pieces from the Ludwigs’ extensive collection. There were also a number of special displays on comics and caricatures, on photography and on Schloss Oberhausen, a landmark of great significance for the Ruhr region.
