This guide to country houses is one of a series of guides designed to introduce Britain's range of historic buildings, gardens and other sites of interest to the general reader. Each volume presents 100 places of interest in a gazetteer format, with maps, directions and opening times. Each book features six tours which examine sites in more detail, while the introduction provides a historical background to the area.
