This is the first extensive review of Slovenian vintners and the wines they produce. Written in English, this oenological bible covers 386 vineyards, a remarkable number for such a small country. The book was authored by ethnologist Dr. Janez Bogataj and viniculturalist Dr. Julij Nemanic, and results from the long interest of Rok Kvaternik, chairman of Rokus Publishing House, in the nation's wines. The wines are beautifully photographed by Janez Puksic. Presented by region, the wines are rated in a four star system and paired to food recommendations.
