Art Basel's official annual publication documents the exhibitions in Basel, Miami Beach, and Hong Kong while also featuring interviews, portfolios, and essays about contemporary art. This year's A-to-Z format maps the Art Basel experience and profiles over 500 galleries that participated in the 2016 shows. Designed by Gavillet & Cie (Geneva), it encompasses various sectors of the fair, highlights events and talks, showcases new initiatives, and provides retrospective insights into the early years of the fair. The publication offers diverse perspectives on the global art scene as experienced through Art Basel in 2016. It serves as a platform for art world experts, curators, and collectors to share their insights, creating an immersive experience for readers. Contributors include notable figures such as Brooke Alexander, Defne Ayas, Iwona Blazwick, and many others, all of whom enriched the fairs across three continents. This volume marks the fourth in an innovative series launched in 2014, published in collaboration with Art Basel.
