Focused on the search for a form of sustainable architecture that can embrace the uncertainties of climate change and the demand to reduce emissions, the newest edition of New Belgian Architecture' fittingly begins with a brief survey of a new International Observation station that will be built in the Antarctic. What follows are some 36 architecturally innovative projects produced in Belgium over the last two years that take these concerns in varying degrees into account. Covering the fields of housing, the office, public spaces and cultural spaces all projects are accompanied by a rich assortment of photographs, plans, elevations and textual explanations.
