In the two and a half years since her husband Blake had disappeared in the South American jungle, presumed dead, Dina had managed to come to terms with the situation. In the circumstances, therefore, it was at once unbelievable and unfortunate that Blake should make a dramatic reappearance, safe and well, just as she had become engaged to his best friend Chet.
