The wind, known as a sirocco, sweeps across the Slave Coast of Africa, bringing with it peril for Donland, who is left with only half of Oxford’s crew and armament. Newly married, he faces the tyrannical governor's orders to eliminate a Spanish frigate captured by pirates targeting slave traders. Hiding a frigate proves challenging in a region filled with rivers and coves, each fraught with hidden dangers. As Donland navigates these threats, he must also contend with betrayal and deceit.
