Syrische kunst in diaspora

Syrische moderne kunst tijdens vier jaar opstand en burgeroorlog = Syrian Art in Diaspora: Syrian Modern Art During Four Years of Rebellion and Civil War

En savoir plus sur le livre

The exhibition 'Syrian Art in Diaspora' shows the work of Amjad Wardeh (paintings), Farouk Mohammed (paintings), Shahin Daoud (paintings), Bengin Daoud (architectural design and drawings), Mohammed Sida (cartoons) and 'A Postcard from Aleppo' (photographs by Issa Touma and postcards by displaced persons in Aleppo) en Ghayath Almadhoun (poems and video). The Syrian artists and poets, who will be showing their work, live all over Europe and Turkey as a result of the civil war raging in their home country. The paintings, drawings, films and poems are a continuation of their work in Syria but also show their personal views about resistance and war. The word 'engagement' has a very direct and personal meaning to them. Exhibition: ABC Treehouse, Amsterdam, The Netherlands (29.05.-21.06.2015).
