This book is intended as a supplementary text for petrology courses at all levels. It is concerned with the manner in which various types of chemicals and thermochemical data are interpreted for igneous rocks and minerals. Complex phenomena are explained in down-to-earth and easy-to-grasp terms, and methodology is stressed.
