Bilingual (English and German) book describing in detail the locomotives of the then Jugoslavian railroad sysytem -- the Jugoslovenske Zeleznice. This volume details all the standard gauge locomotives know to have been in the stock of the JZ or its predecessors, including steam, diesel, and electric as well as railcars. The book covers from the early days of the Banjaluka-Doberlin Military Railway and the Serbian State Railways down to the 1973 JZ fleet. Of particular interest are the varied engines acquired after World War II from the DRB, PKP, FS, MAV, kkstB, Sudbahn and other foreign lines. Book is divided into 6 locomotives up to 1918, locomotives transferred to SHS after 1918, JDZ numbering scheme from 1933, electric locomotives, diesel locomotives, and railcars.
