This book starts with historical background followed by a description of the Ki-44 development. The largest part of text covers the operational deployment, including operations in Burma, Indonesia, the Philippines, CBI theatre, Manchuria and Japan. There are also separate chapters dedicated to the Ki-44 medaled pilots, post war operators and fates of captured aircraft. A brief overview of the existing Ki-44 kits is also provided. The book contains over 70 b/w contemporary photos (some of them published for the first time), more than 30 colour side profiles, 8 pages of drawings taken from the original Ki-44-II manual, and last but not least, 32 pages of 1/48th and 1/72nd scale drawings. 104 pages.
