Bylo by dost nefér, kdyby jenom návštěvníci lokálu měli svá tajemství, která Jake Stonenbender někdy promění v poutavé příběhy a vynáší dál, ale i sám vládce nálevny musí mít nějaké to skryté zákoutí, jinak by to snad ani nebyl člověk(?). I když v baru, kde svorně popíjejí a klábosí mimozemšťané, mluvící psi a upíři (a někdy také úplně normální lidé), je opravdu obtížné něčím překvapit…
