Historie malého chudého cirkusového souboru, stíhaného nejrůznějšími pohromami a nakonec stiženého neštěstím největším, tragickým zraněním mladé umělkyně v manéži, přičemž tato dívka, ač zlomena na zdraví, dokáže se ještě postavit osudu a věnovat všechen svůj zápal a zbylé síly cirkusu.
