Vierendertig zeer korte verhalen en twee gedichten, bedoeld om de lezer een hart onder de riem te steken. De samenstellers combineren Jos Brink met Marga Minco en Mien van 't Sant met Marjan Berk of zoals de flaptekst zegt 'bekende en geliefde' Nederlandse hedendaagse auteurs. Het resultaat is een allegaartje waar geen lezerskring voor te definiren valt. Dat mensen door lezing van deze bundel met moeilijke momenten verzoend raken, zoals de flaptekst suggereert, lijkt me onwaarschijnlijk, juist omdat zoveel goede bedoelingen bij elkaar wat te veel van het goede is.
