Il nous a donc semblé opportun d’en dresser une liste aussi complète que possible et d’y apporter une réponse à la fois succincte et suffisante. Toutes les questions dans ce livre ont été réellement posées. L’auteur a eu en face de lui des sceptiques, des curieux, des chercheurs qui, à l’occasion d’une conférence, d’une rencontre de jeunes ou d’un entretien particulier, lui ont fait part de leurs doutes et de leur embarras. L’ouvrage ne répond donc pas à un assortiment de questions sur des thèmes bibliques ou théologiques qui n’intéressent que les « initiés », mais aux préoccupations concrètes et pratiques de personnes qui sont « en recherche ».
