In The Dyslexic Hearts Club we meet an unlikely trio of women who are on the run and experience a plethora of exciting, comical and even comforting absurdities. 3 women with burns share a hospital room that is guarded by a policeman and more men hang around outside, waiting for them. Feeling threatened by this male presence, the women decide to escape. A thrilling, comical and strangely comforting account of this escape ensues. While on the run from the police, criminals and cheated husbands, the women find themselves in situations they can only overcome by sticking together.

Boris is een brokkenpiloot die ondanks alles op sympathie kan rekenen. Tot zijn ouders hem een geheim vertellen dat zijn leven op de kop zet. Vanaf dat moment is het Boris tegen de rest van de wereld. Een uitzondering maakt hij voor zijn buurmeisje Lies, die aan een ongeneeslijke huidaandoening lijdt waardoor lichamelijk contact onmogelijk is. De twee buitenbeentjes groeien naar elkaar toe.
