Whether it is a pebble small enough to be carried in the palm of your hand or a stone seen as being so great that you are barely able to carry it, each is an equal gift: If you have the faith of one such as Wesak and throw it into that chasm which seems to limit your pathway, it shall come to pass when the obstacle, which has been seen as a great chasm separating you from God, is filled, and the way is opened. -Lama Sing
This is a compilation of quotes and excerpts taken from the first nine Al Miner/Lama Sing readings given to an internet study group. The group is dedicated to liberating themselves from the illusions and limitations of finiteness while yet in physical body and serving from a position of awakened Freedom. If you want to start a similar spiritual group, are in a group with similar interests, or have no one with whom to be in a group, this book is a good guide for discussion, meditation, and implementation, especially when accompanied by the compilation of complete readings found on the Lama Sing/Al Miner website: lamasing.org
Peter remains unaware that prior to this past incarnation, he agreed to allow his progress in the afterlife to be slowed so some back on Earth could follow and study his continual unfolding. That selfless act has resulted in many becoming free from fear of death and reclaiming the Truth of their being. (This understanding is something put aside when we enter the Earth until we reclaim it through our use of free will.) In Return to Earth, Peter's wondrous journeys in realms beyond continue. But something truly astonishing occurs in this, the third book in the series: When Peter learns of a group on Earth that is following his story, he is taken to see them, an event which begins a unique relationship that continues to this day.
The book serves as an intimate diary chronicling Al's profound experiences akin to near-death encounters over nearly a decade. Guided by Lama Sing and others, Al embarks on a quest for understanding his eternal nature and connection with God while still in a physical form. It features 365 pivotal excerpts from his journey, providing a daily guide for readers seeking spiritual insight and personal awakening.
Albert Henry Munsell (1858-1918) was an American painter, teacher of art, and the inventor of the Munsell color system. He was born in Boston, Massachusetts, attended and served on the faculty of Massachusetts Normal Art School, and died in nearby Brookline. As a painter, he was noted for seascapes and portraits. Munsell is famous for inventing the Munsell color system, an early attempt at creating an accurate system for numerically describing colors. He wrote three books about it: A Color Notation (1905), Atlas of the Munsell Color System (1915) and one published posthumously, A Grammar of Color: Arrangements of Strathmore Papers in a Variety of Printed Color Combinations According to The Munsell Color System (1921).
Contemporary art is a vast and complex field representing artists, ideas and trends from every imaginable cultural and geographical background. This book introduces the art of our times by taking the reader through a tour of some 70 examples from the collections of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Thematic chapters present artistic categories, concepts and propositions that offer a path toward understanding the different subjects, forms, styles, purposes and techniques of contemporary art. Some, such as portraiture, are long-standing notions in the history of art; others, such as site appropriation, raise provocative questions and may be less immediately obvious. But it is the works themselves--brilliantly conceived by some of the most creative minds of our times--that make the case for embracing contemporary art in all its diversity.
"Like the dynamic urban environments in which they were conceived, the accumulative sculptures by these artists from Seoul, Beijing, Shanghai, Delhi, and Mumbai immerse us in global issues of migration, consumption, sustainability, and cultural heritage"--Back cover.
