For 13 years, I served as the script editor for Top Gear, overseeing all 22 series. My role involved checking spelling and crafting silly gags about The Stig, while enjoying the company of Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May. It was a surreal experience that felt more like fun than work. From the chaotic pilot in 2002 to the show's abrupt conclusion in 2015, my time on Top Gear was a wild journey. We traveled the globe, built space ships, and traversed busy shipping lanes in a pick-up truck. Along the way, we faced an angry mob, stirred controversy in the press, and even had a close call with one of our presenters' safety. I realized I had numerous behind-the-scenes stories to share, recalling the absurd decision to adopt a dog and the ridiculous decoration of our dismal office. I vividly remembered a threatening encounter with a Bolivian drug lord. Inspired, I decided to document these tales. I hope you enjoy them. Pohled na Velkou francouzskou revoluci „zdola“, očima kejklířů, snaha nahlédnout zásadní událost světové historie bez učebnicových klišé. Původní text hry doplňuje stať o autorce, jejím divadle Theatre du Soleil a okolnostech vzniku a uvádění inscenace (Martin Urban), studie o temných aspektech všech revolucí (Zdeněk Zbořil) i zamyšlení nad revolucí roku 1789. Nechybí obrazový doprovod k inscenaci.

Kari Voss je psycholožka, uznávaná odbornice na odhalování lži a na řeč těla. Pro své schopnosti je vyhledávanou konzultantkou osloské kriminální ústředny, kde dobře znají i jejího otce, bývalého policistu. Přišla o manžela, ale má syna Vetla… přesněji řečeno měla. Před lety chlapce někdo unesl, a ona nepřestává doufat, že se s ním opět shledá. Nyní se však dostane k vyšetřování vraždy dvou šestnáctiletých dívek, s jejichž rodiči se zná. K brutálnímu zločinu došlo noc před Halloweenem v letním sídle v městečku Son, kam se dá z Osla dojet na kole. Podezřelých je hned celá řada a motiv mohli mít i někteří příbuzní dívek. Kari Voss nakonec pachatele určí, ale její příběh nekončí. V závěru napínavého románu jí svitne naděje, že její syn Vetle je živ a zdráv. Další osudy a případy talentované psycholožky nabídnou hned dvě pokračování.
