"I hope you haven't forgotten me. Shall we play?" Antonia Scott possesses a uniquely gifted forensic mind and is the key player in a top-secret project, Red Queen, designed to tackle the most complex and dangerous crimes beyond the capabilities of regular police. However, the project faces severe threats, with agents across Europe turning against each other and past cases resurfacing with deadly consequences. Central to the chaos is the enigmatic Mr. White. Antonia's only ally, Jon Gutiérrez, has been kidnapped, and Mr. White presents her with a chilling ultimatum: solve three crimes to save him. To ensure Jon's survival, Antonia must engage in Mr. White's deadly game, but can she succeed while only seeing part of the board? This thrilling conclusion to the Antonia Scott trilogy promises a gripping narrative. Praise for the author highlights his masterful storytelling, vivid depiction of Madrid, and the dynamic interplay between characters, particularly Antonia and Inspector Gutiérrez. Critics commend the brisk pacing, sharp translations, and the engaging mix of humor and tension that keeps readers turning pages.
