Kniha se věnuje speciálním jednotkám, od druhé světové války až po rok 1994. Pravda je, že autor nejde nijak do hloubky, například akce SAS v Africe za druhé světové války stihne popsat asi na čtyřech stranách. V knize jsou snad všechny nejznámější speciální jednotky: SEAL, Delta Force, SAS, GSG9, 2REP....a některé jejich akce (osvobození íránského velvyslanectví v Londýně v roce 1980, válka o Falklandy, zatčení generála Noriegy, neúspěch na "Poušti jedna" a další). Kromě toho se dozvíte o přijímacích procedurách, něco z výcviku nebo o používaných zbraních. Je zde několik nepřesností co se týče pojmů, ale i tak poutavé čtení.
