He suffers from Scurvy, Typhus, Dysentery, starvation, and exposure while his family believes he is dead.Surviving the Night is a stand-alone novel coming on the heels of the Car Bridger trilogy: The Last Raider, Avenging Angel, and Mission Critical. Some events are based on the account of TSgt. Faye Bryner who survived the "Death March" from Stalag IV to Fallingbostel (Camp 357).
