Victor Headley Livres

D is now London's number one drugs Don. But the position comes with problems. There is a new style of gangster on the street and they want what D's worked so hard to build - his whole empire. But this is no board room contest; in this world, takeovers mean blood on the streets.

Lisa Hanley has cheated death. Shot seven times, twice in the head, she should be lying on a slab in the morgue. But survive she did. Now her family want revenge, not only for her attempted murder, but also for the theft of the cash she was carrying. Detective Louis Burrows has not witnessed such violence in a long time. The killer even took the trouble of burning Lisa's fingertips to stop the body from being identified. He knows this attempted murder has all the markings of a gagland killing, and he knows there will be reprisals. The FBI have asked the US attorney's office to investigate ties between drug enforcement agents and a known Mafia figure - Sal. Is the Mafia linked to Lisa's attempted murder, and will the streets of New York once again be bathed in the blood of gangland brothers?

Things got really hot after D's arrest. The police virtually closed down Hackney for business. But the shaky truce that followed the posse's turf war is getting shakier as Sticks dips deeper into his own supply of crack. This book is the sequel to "Yardie".

D, a courier carrying cocaine from Jamaica to London, decides to go it alone and disappears into the mean streets of Hackney carrying a kilo of white powder that his erstwhile friends are anxious to recover. But D's treachery will never be forgotten - or forgiven.
