Who was the architect that built pyramids in Ljubljana and Minoan bulls in Prague? An architect who admired columns so fervently that he built them even when they bore no weight? In this comic, Jože Plečnik narrates his own story, reflecting on his significant works and the people and places he encountered throughout his long life journey between Ljubljana, Vienna, and Prague. Plečnik tells his life story from his own perspective, contemplating who he was and when he created, occasionally considering alternative choices he could have made. The narrative includes his contemporaries, primarily based on the influence they had on him and his work. Just as in Plečnik's creations, where logical selection was necessary due to their scale, a similar approach was taken in including his students and collaborators, who contributed their knowledge and unique signatures to his projects.
