These extracts from classic literature develop students' intensive reading skills and motivate them to read more extensively. Teachers need authentic extracts which suit the level of their students and give background material for British cultural studies.

Specially designed for students following a short or intensive English programme, this course consists of material for up to 45 teaching hours at each of four levels - Beginner, Elementary, Intermediate and Upper-intermediate. Each level has 30 complete lessons grouped into ten topic-based units, and a further 30-page section of grammar-practice material with one page of language notes and exercises for each lesson.
