'It wasn't me. I didn't do it. And I'll never do it again!' says Brian Johnson of The Lives of Brian. That AC/DC's legendary front man got to do it all is one of the most cheering and entertaining stories in rock 'n'roll history. For over a decade he tried to make his mark with a succession of bands. He appeared on to Top of the Pops, toured Australia and yet the big time looked out of reach. Then he was invited to London for an audition for one of the world's biggest rock acts.

America's economy currently fails to reflect our core values, as it increasingly divides us rather than unites us. Over the past fifty years, wealth has become concentrated in the hands of top income earners, undermining our nation's foundational ideals. This growing inequality poses a significant threat to our well-being, democracy, and values. Brian C. Johnson combines accessible research on wealth and income disparity with personal stories from six diverse Americans grappling with survival and success in this challenging economic landscape. He proposes a visionary yet practical solution called the Citizen Dividend, which posits that economic growth stems from the collective wealth created by all citizens, allowing everyone to share in its benefits. Johnson lays out a framework for implementing this model, detailing its principles, providing examples of similar systems, addressing common concerns, and charting a path toward realization. Ultimately, this work urges us to reclaim our uniquely American heritage by fostering a common future that honors and celebrates our differences. This is our revolutionary inheritance, and it is time for all of us to benefit from it.
