Winifred V. Davies Livres

In this new and innovative book, Winifred Davies gives a detailed analysis of the skills involved in writing in German, concentrating on three text types; essays, reports and letters, but with the emphasis on essay-writing. From the pre-writing stage to the final full stop, the reader is encouraged to think through all the different stages in the production of a successful text - preparation, structure, style and content. Emphasis is placed throughout the book on developing the students' communicative and discursive skills as well as consolidating their grammatical knowledge. The examples and assignments draw as far as possible on German current affairs. This helps the pupils to get to know the language and the land.

Die Standardsprache, auch als Hochdeutsch bezeichnet, die im deutschen Sprachraum in der öffentlichen Kommunikation, in den Schulen und in der Politik verwendet wird, ist uneinheitlich. Die Variation der Standardsprache wird in der Linguistik gegenwärtig mit plurizentrischen und pluriarealen Konzepten erfasst. In diesem Band werden neue Ergebnisse aus Forschungsprojekten zum Gebrauch und zur Bewertung der Standardsprache in Österreich, Deutschland, Luxemburg, Südtirol und der Deutschschweiz diskutiert. Einen besonderen Fokus bilden dabei die schulischen Praktiken.
