Fast ein Jahrtausend Prägung durch Erzbischof und Stadt Köln stellen die vier Bände des „Kölner Münzwerks" von Hävernick und Noss vor, führen vom frühen Fernhandels-Denar über Goldgulden, Taler und Dukaten bis zu den letzten Hellem aus Köln selbst und den erzbischöflichen Münzstätten, besonders Bonn und Deutz. Sie sind unverändert musterhafte Bearbeitungen der für lange Zeit wichtigsten Münzstände des Reiches.****************Coins issued by the Archbishop and the City of Cologne over a period of nearly one thousand years are contained in the four volumes by Hävernick and Noss. The work moves from the denars of early commerce to gold guilders, thalers and ducats, to the last hellers issued directly by the City of Cologne and by the archiepiscopal mints, especially Bonn and Deutz. The volumes are still masterful presentations of those mints which were for a long period the most important in the German Empire.
