England, October 1936. Eight golfers accept an invitation from the London banking house of Milford & Barnes to attend a golfing weekend in Cornwall. Arriving at the golf club which is located on a promontory in the vicinity of Cape Cornwall, they soon realize that their host is absent. A tournament takes place despite a gathering storm but ends prematurely – in a murder. Cut off from the outside world, the guests decide to investigate matters for themselves.
