En savoir plus sur le livre
The extraordinary tale by Carson McCullers, rooted in American Gothic, explores love and betrayal in the Deep South. It tells the story of Miss Amelia, a very unconventional woman. Standing at six feet two inches, strong and independent, she marries Marvin Macy, the cruelest and most charming man in town, only to chase him away after ten days. She then runs the local store alone until her cousin Lymon, a hunchbacked dwarf, arrives, steals her heart, and transforms the store into a lively café. However, when her rejected husband returns, a strange love triangle forms, and the battle of the sexes begins.
