En savoir plus sur le livre

Ptolemaeus, born around 100 AD and living in Alexandria until his death around 178, left behind a timeless document of astrology with his work Tetrabiblos, meaning "Book in Four Parts." In this significant text, he reorganized verifiable experiential facts under causal perspectives, creating a comprehensive textbook. Many terms and rules still in use today are derived from Tetrabiblos. Ptolemaeus systematically defined astrology for the first time, capturing all currents of astrological knowledge and synthesizing them into a cohesive framework. He established the foundations of the zodiac and the interpretation of planets. For 1500 years, Tetrabiblos served as the "Bible of Astrologers," a work of enduring relevance. Ptolemaeus succeeded in crafting a unified, human-centered interpretative concept from the chaotic astrological rules of his time, an achievement unmatched by subsequent authors. Thus, even at the end of the 20th century, familiarity with the "four golden books" remains essential for astrologers.
