The Unsettled

Ava Carson is determined to escape the harsh realities of a Philadelphia shelter in 1985 while grappling with her complicated past and estrangement from her mother, Dutchess. As she strives to provide a better life for her son, Toussaint, she becomes entangled with his charismatic father, Cass, whose radical ideals lead to instability. Meanwhile, Dutchess fights to preserve the legacy of Bonaparte, a symbol of Black history, against encroaching developers. Toussaint, sensing the turmoil around him, dreams of returning to his roots.
