The story follows Herbie Lemon and his brave friend Violet Parma as they uncover dark secrets in their coastal village of Eerie-on-Sea. Their latest challenge arises when their cunning adversary, Sebastian Eels, plans to reopen a waxworks museum, prompting suspicions of hidden agendas. Their quest takes them into the eerie Netherways and reveals the tragic history of toymaker Ludovic Festergrimm and his daughter, Pandora. As Eels seeks to exploit this history for his own gain, Herbie finds himself entwined in a mystery that could change everything.
