Gunner Girls and Fighter Boys

Set against the backdrop of the Blitz in South London, the story follows May Lloyd, whose exceptional navigational skills earn her the nickname "homing pigeon." After losing her home, she enlists in the ATS as a gunner girl, defending against the Luftwaffe. Alongside her, her sister Peggy seeks to break free from a suffocating marriage, pursuing love and independence amidst the turmoil of war.
