En savoir plus sur le livre

A hundred years ago in the Himalayan peaks of Nanvi Dar, the daughter of an English earl is kidnapped by a huge hairy monster. In a secret valley, Agatha Farley is introduced to a family of motherless yetis and dedicates her life to their upbringing, teaching them to speak, sharing stories, and instilling polite manners. As decades pass, the arrival of tourists, a hotel, and yeti-hunters threaten their existence. Agatha realizes that her ancestral home, Farley Towers, is their best chance for protection. When a boy and his sister discover her hidden valley, she sees them as the brave allies needed to execute her plan. The yetis are smuggled into the hotel’s bridal suite, but a baby yak's affection for the youngest yeti disrupts their escape plan, leading to a wildly entertaining road trip across the world. In the Sultan of Aslerfan's kingdom, the yetis liberate zoo animals; in the Alps, they save a lost child from a blizzard; and in Spain, the yak causes chaos at a bullfight. However, upon reaching England, they face an unexpected shock at Farley Towers. This early, unpublished work showcases the humor, lovable characters, intricate plotting, and themes of kindness and tolerance that define the author's later successes.
