Eager to escape her privileged background, Lady Rose Summer embraces the challenges of working-class life, only to find herself struggling with long hours as a typist and the harsh realities of a women's hostel. Her dreams of empowerment quickly fade amidst the exhaustion and poverty she faces. However, her monotonous existence takes a dramatic turn upon learning about the unexpected death of an acquaintance, opening new possibilities and adventures for her.
