Law and the Epistemologies of the South

The book critiques modern state law for rendering certain populations invisible and irrelevant, highlighting the historical experience of the Global South. It introduces the concept of "abyssal law," which facilitates exclusion through a divide between the metropolitan and colonial, fully human and sub-human. Rejecting the notion of 'the end of history,' the author proposes hopeful alternatives to social exclusion and legal domination, advocating for the realization of post-abyssal legal utopias.
