Three Bodies by the River

Set in 1990s Los Angeles, the story follows Sam Straight, a lawyer grappling with disillusionment and unfulfilled aspirations. His days are filled with daydreams of becoming a compassionate savior, while nights are spent drowning his sorrows in alcohol. The narrative takes a dark turn when a brutal attack by an intruder at the law firm leaves him and his partner fighting for their lives, forcing Sam to confront the stark realities of his existence and the choices he must make.
