The Heroine's Journey is a woman's mythic quest to heal her feminine nature on personal, cultural, and spiritual levels. This workbook guides readers through the stages of this journey, which can be both conscious and unconscious. Developed from workshops with women of all ages, it can be utilized individually or in groups. Readers will explore each stage and examine myths and fairy tales that illuminate these archetypal experiences: Separation from the Feminine, where a woman seeks identity in a masculine-defined culture; The Road of Trials, challenging myths of female inferiority and dependency; Spiritual Aridity, feeling lost in the pursuit of achievement; Initiation and Descent, a period of introspection to reclaim lost parts of herself; and an urgent yearning to heal the Mother-Daughter Split. The journey also involves integrating the wounded aspects of her inner Masculine and achieving the Sacred Marriage, where she learns to balance all facets of her being.
