The birds that dominate the planet ZRP 14 are not like those known on Earth, but rather wonderful beings with the highest intelligence in the universe. They have allowed humans to settle and expand their civilization while retaining control of the skies. Thus, the city of Carrig has flourished near a great river and in the center of an exceptionally fertile land, with the descendants of refugees who came to the planet long ago having forgotten their origins.
