En savoir plus sur le livre
André Derain (1880-1954), a pioneer of Fauvism, shares his studio in Chatou with Vlaminck and is strongly influenced by the masters. In collaboration with Matisse, he develops the passionate lyricism of his color palette until 1907. After settling in Montmartre, his painting is characterized by a more rigorous construction, although it does not reach the cubism of his colleagues Picasso and Braque.
