En savoir plus sur le livre
The largest active Croatian sports heroine shares a charming, lucid, and sometimes self-ironic narrative about the making of champions and the behind-the-scenes challenges on their journey to the top. In this candid confession, readers will discover Blanka's upbringing in Split, her early crushes and loves, feelings of jealousy and possessiveness, her strengths and weaknesses, crises, and a complex relationship with her father and coach. She recounts her quest for independence and the various sports, medical, and life challenges that accompanied her remarkable ascent to global prominence. Blanka’s story reveals that behind the public persona of a world champion lies a spirited and intelligent young woman who relishes life and is acutely aware of every step she has taken and will continue to take to maintain her reign in the world of athletics for years to come.
