En savoir plus sur le livre

This book presents findings from a comprehensive research program funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft, titled 'Technological Change and Regional Development in Europe.' The program aimed to investigate the relationship between technological change and regional development through empirical surveys. Over six years, 50 research projects were conducted in three two-year phases, involving leading German regional scientists from various universities and non-university research institutions. The program also collaborated with internationally recognized partners. Gratitude is extended to the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft for their financial support, which made this ambitious project possible. Thanks are also due to the contributors for their participation in this joint effort. Special acknowledgment goes to Prof. Dr. Philip Cooke for his valuable refereeing of the chapters, which enhanced the quality of the work. Additionally, appreciation is expressed to Angela Spence for her expert editorial assistance, linguistic editing, and preparation of the Index, as well as Franco Vaio for managing the technical aspects and production of the final copy. Their collective efforts were essential in bringing together contributions from diverse authors into a cohesive volume.
