Dašek was born 1930 in Prague. Even as a high school Student, he was deeply involved in making films and recording sound as a hobby. Alone and together with members of Prague amateur film clubs he shot many films. He devoted himself particularly to Soundtracks and on this topic he has published numerous articles and some books. Since 1968, he has been living in Switzerland. He is a member of the jury at various national and international film and video competitions.
