A sensitive and beautifully illustrated children's book tells the story of Greta, an underwater singer and whale, who suddenly loses her voice without explanation. In an underwater animal clinic, the creatures discover that their ailments are caused by trash that does not belong in the ocean. They decide to take action. This publication playfully reveals to children one of the most pressing contemporary issues: ocean pollution. The situation is dire, with scientists warning that by 2050, there may be more plastic in the seas than fish. At the end of the book, children are provided with tips on how they can help Greta and her friends, such as swapping plastic bottles for glass ones or bringing their own bags for shopping. A small atlas of selected whale species is also included.
