Während diese stillgelegten Perspektiven der Geschichte erstmals angesprochen werden, machen Gayatri Spivak, Trinh T. Minh-ha und Toni Morrison auf die Unbeschreiblichkeit der Vergangenheit aufmerksam und warnen vor einem unkritischen Umgang mit Sprache als einem vermeintlich natürlichen Weg zu Gerechtigkeit und Ermächtigung. Literarische Projekte, die den Anspruch erheben, verschwiegene und ausgelöschte Systeme der Wissensproduktion zur Sprache zu bringen, stehen damit vor einem Paradox. This volume will discuss the state of the art of different observation and measurement techniques useful for ecohydrological studies. The techniques cover the entire spectrum of the water-soil-plant-atmosphere continuum. And the other volumes are „Water and Ecosystems“, „Water-Limited Environments“ and „Integrated Ecohydrological Modeling“ etc.

The authors of this book – teachers of foundation courses to pre-service and in-service teachers in Canada, Israel, and the United States – use culturally heterogeneous settings as points of departure for inquiry and cross-cultural encounters of difference, and illuminate how, among people of differing ethnic, religious, socio-economic, political, ideological, and gendered backgrounds, the telling of experiential stories can shift personally and culturally polarized positions. Key in the work documented here is the encouragement of narrative rather than argumentative modes of the instructors found inquiry more likely to stay alive when they were able to access and incorporate both the mutual interest of and the personal tensions between their students. The book illustrates how personal dynamics can subtly move individual inquiry forward, and help alleviate animosity and polarization.

Die marktwirtschaftliche Orientierung und der rechtliche Schutz des geistigen Eigentums gewinnen zunehmend an Bedeutung. Angesichts der Globalisierung wird die effiziente Durchsetzung von Rechten des geistigen Eigentums, insbesondere im Hinblick auf Forschungs- und Entwicklungskosten, immer wichtiger. Durch zwei große Reformen wurde der gesetzliche Urheberrechtsschutz in China erheblich an internationale Standards angeglichen. Dennoch stehen die Chinesen vor Herausforderungen, die Effizienz der Rechtsdurchsetzung zu verbessern. Im Jahr 2011 veröffentlichte die internationale Handelsvertretung der USA eine „Notorious Market List“, in der Unternehmen aufgeführt sind, die Urheberrechte verletzen, wobei ein Drittel dieser Unternehmen in China ansässig ist. Dies verdeutlicht die anhaltenden Schwierigkeiten im Kampf gegen Raubkopien und Produktfälschungen, trotz Fortschritten im Urheberrechtsschutz. Die Studie vergleicht das Urheberrecht in Deutschland und China, wobei der erste Teil das deutsche Urheberrechtsgesetz und neue Entwicklungen behandelt. Der zweite Teil beleuchtet das chinesische Rechtssystem, die Geschichte und aktuelle Entwicklungen des Urheberrechts sowie die Auswirkungen der Informationsgesellschaft und Probleme bei der Rechtsdurchsetzung.
