Focusing on the evolution of transitional justice policies in Ukraine during the Donbas conflict, the book provides a theoretical framework alongside an analysis of key decisions made in this context. It examines how these policies aim to fulfill three essential goals: truth-seeking, retribution, and restoration, offering insights into the complexities and challenges faced in addressing past injustices.

The book focusses on transitional justice policies implemented in Ukraine since the beginning of 2014. The author comes to the conclusion that there is no evidence supporting the thesis that the implementation of these policies provides visible effects in terms of democratisation of the country.

Publikacja stanowi udaną próbę wielostronnej analizy funkcjonowania Europejskiej Polityki Sąsiedztwa Unii Europejskiej w odniesieniu do państw Europy Wschodniej w latach 2004-2009, z pewnymi odniesieniami do roku 2010.
