Der Gegenpol dieses liminalen Predigtverständnisses liegt in einer 'stählernen Theologie', die sich etwa in den Predigten aus der Zeit der Apartheid in Südafrika zeigte, aber bis in die Gegenwart auch in den USA und weiteren Kontexten begegnet. Entstanden ist so eine Kulturhermeneutik der Predigt in internationalem Horizont, die eine Provo kation darstellt für alle, die predigen und Predigten hören.
